Each month, the Fresno County Information & Referral Network distributes a newsletter titled Network News. The publication can be obtained for free electronically or via hard copy for just $15/year.
The Network News highlights a different agency and program within the county each month as well as providing information on available services and events happening. It is a highly useful tool, and if you don't already read it - you should.
The December edition just came out and there is lots of great information such as FREE job search classes, résumé makeovers, and health clinic services. Also, on December 13th the 27th Annual African-American Student Recruitment Conference will take place at Fresno State. The event is free, but pre-registration is required. One of the workshops for potential freshman includes "Thug for Life" - Steering Clear of Gangs and The Prison System. A link to the registration can be found in the Network News.
A copy of the December issue is attached to this post, but I encourage you to contact the Editor (can be found in the newsletter) and get on the mailing list for future issues!
Happy reading.
